'I am' goes back to the Old Testament...

The power of 'I am' statements goes back to the Old Testament in the Bible. In the book The Moses Code, James Twyman emphasizes the importance of  'I am' statements. When Moses spoke to God as a burning bush, when asked who God was, God replied, “I am that I am”. What God is implying is that He is whatever He professes himself to be. As a human being on this earth, we are all a part of God, and contain God energy within us.  If you imply, I am amazing, you are right. If you imply I am stupid, you are correct. You are whatever you profess yourself to be.

That means when you feel happy, a friend of a friend of a friend has a higher likelihood of feeling happy too.  James Fowler, co-author of the study and professor of political science at the University of California in San Diego says, "The lesson is that taking control of your own happiness can positively affect others."
